Wine Women & Shoes Returns to the Runway November 10th at the Fairmont Olympic in Downtown Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (June 23, 2017) – Fans of fashion and supporters of Olive Crest will gather at the Fairmont Olympic on Friday, November 10, 2017, for Wine Women & Shoes. The annual fundraiser helps raise critical funding for Olive Crest’s programs including foster care and adoption placement, family counseling services, mental health care, and more. Proceeds from the event directly support children in the Greater Seattle area and help them find their “forever families”.
The fundraiser, which unites the fashion community, welcomes over 350 well-heeled guests and includes a shop-for-a-cause marketplace, wine tastings from local wineries, lite bites from award-winning chefs, opportunities to bid on fashion-focused silent auction items, an interactive LIVE auction, and the chance to win the most coveted prize of the night, a “Key to the Closet” that unlocks a prize package valued at over $10,000.
The evening concludes with a high-energy fashion show produced by Styled Seattle that will feature fashion from local boutiques including The Finerie, Moorea Seal, and Canopy Blue. In lieu of traditional models, a pair of community influencers will walk the runway including Carla Marie and Kat Fisher from Power 93.3 and Amy Nelson and Kim Peltola of The Riveter.
Six local wineries will participate in the on-site wine tasting experience including JM Cellars, O Wines, Coral Wines, Swiftwater Cellars, Cadence Winery, and Mood Swing Wines. Guests will also enjoy sparkling wine from Chateau Ste. Michelle and have the opportunity to pay $25 for the chance to pull a cork from the “Wall of Wines” and take home a bottle from featured vendors.
The evening will also highlight volunteer “Shoe Guys” who will support the evening by tray passing champagne to guests, serving as dedicated table hosts, and showcasing merchandise from marketplace vendors on silver platters. “Shoe Guys” sign on to support Wine Women & Shoes in the spring and fundraise in the community leading up to the event. The “Shoe Guy” who raises the most money for Olive Crest will be crowned the “King of Sole” on-stage at the event.
This year Wine Women & Shoes has added a Luxe Ticket option in partnership with Blue Nile that includes a table for 10 guests, prime seating for the runway fashion show, hair and makeup, a champagne reception, swag bags, guest suite and valet parking, the opportunity to be outfitted with fine jewelry from Blue Nile for the event, and more.
