Let’s see… How many workouts did I do this week? One. I did one. And that’s only because I had Monday off for President’s day. This week has been a total mindf*ck. Some good things happened, like getting contacted by a company about a job in Seattle (I’d previously interviewed with them for a job a few months ago, but they decided to go a different way), getting a call-back about a freelance job with Creative Circle and getting approved for my new apartment in Kent, which will literally cut my commute time in half (sweeeeet!).
Unfortunately, things aren’t going so well on the home front. I won’t go into detail, but let’s just say my husband won’t be moving to my new apartment with me. All the stress of figuring out how I’m going to move all of my stuff and deal with both of our personal feelings about all of this is weighing on me and I’m sure I’d feel a little less stressed if I took some time out for myself to run for a bit, but I just have too much on my plate right now.
But that’s not going to stop me from completing this half marathon. I’m going to do it regardless of what happens in these last three weeks. So I’ve made today a highly productive day that includes meal prep and checking some of these design tasks off my checklist so I don’t have to worry about them this week. Hopefully, that will take a bit of the load off and I’ll get some runs in during my lunch break and next weekend.
