I almost didn’t make it to this show (even though I had a VIP ticket) due to some idiot breaking into my car in the parking lot of Best Buy and literally stealing my outfit for the fashion show, including all of my jewelry, makeup and hair tools (bye, bye flat iron!). They even took my design portfolio that I use for job interviews! It was definitely a stressful afternoon, but I decided not to let that ruin my evening. Plus, I knew I’d totally regret letting that second row seat go to waste.
Luckily, I had my handbag, wallet and all of my personal electronics with me. So I thought I’d take advantage of a $100 Bellevue Collection gift certificate that my co-workers gave me for my birthday back in July. I bought a new dress and jewelry from Express and new leather boots from Aldo. The retail therapy helped me to enjoy the evening much more (along with a nice glass of cabernet).
The show was fantastic and helped me to forget at least for a little while that my privacy had been violated. There’s nothing like fashion to make a girl feel better. Here are my favorite looks of the night.
