Open For Business

June was quite a busy month for me. Even though I wasn’t technically open for business, I did make sure to reach out to all of my contacts about my new business venture and make a few fashion-related event appearances, including the FGI Seattle Designer Showcase, Style Remix at Canopy Blue and the Her Big Day Quarterly Industry Mixer. Unfortunately, my I had a small design issue with my new business cards and had to re-order them so I wasn’t able to hand them out at the showcase, but luckily, I had my backup cards so I wasn’t totally lost.

I also completed all of my business set-up tasks so when the new clients start rolling in, everything will run smoothly. Lastly, I was lucky enough to receive acceptance into a new six-week design freelance course that covers all aspects of running a successful business. I’m currently in Week 4 and I have to admit that I’m glad I can spare two hours a week to review all of this information and communicate with other designers.

July is going to be twice as busy for me, not only because of the opening of Stylishly Made, but because of these super fun events:

June was all about looking back on the work that brought me to this point and setting the foundation for my new venture. Now it’s time to look ahead. I’m so ready to get started. I tend to thrive on keeping busy so let’s do this! If you’re interested in working with me, visit my portfolio to submit information for your project. I’ll make sure to respond within 48 hours. I’m looking forward to working with all of my new clients!
